Welcome to Lunuratis
The Run of the Shattered Souls
A Fade Story
AN EXHILARATING AND THOUGHT-PROVOKING SCI-FI ADVENTURE…
D. A. Procter sweeps you away to Lunuratis, humankind’s last home, hovering on the edges of the Fade.
A deeply insightful examination of the human condition.
‘I wished for my dreams to belong to the people of Lunuratis, but they only ever served me. When I finally accepted that they only ever truly belonged to me, then they finally served the people. I had to become a beacon of hope. I had to fulfil my dream, the dream of becoming a fade rider.’
When distaste between the Fade Riders and the Judge’s Fist turns into tragedy for those closest to Remi Kinora, she leaves her life in the downtrodden slums behind. With the emergence of a new darkness, known only as The Craving, Remi must unlock a secret connecting this new threat to her captured mentor, and to the mysterious events that happened within the Fade three hundred cycles ago.
Thrust into conflict with those who intend on using the darkness for their own self-serving gains. Remi must contest her own deepest motives, and who she truly wishes to be a hero for, to unlock her link with the Fade and inspire others to help push Lunuratis back towards the light.
In regions divided by fear, impassable borders, greed, and failing envirotechnology, corruption takes its toll. In the north, the Judge’s influence wanes under the threat of the criminal Connexion, and the restless and exasperated citizens branded Viruls, leaving Lunuratis exposed to an epic showdown that will decide the fate of the last of humankind.
About The Author
D. A. Procter is from Leeds, U.K. He is the debut author of a brand-new, exciting sci-fi adventure: The Run of the Shattered Souls, the first book in The Fade series. A passionate and life-long admirer of storytelling, he adores being immersed in worlds so rich and overarching that they take on a depth of character that is as complex and as nourishing as the individuals who live there. Worlds that tie wonderful human stories together in an intricate web that reflects the collective consciousness that spun the world into being.
Being obsessed with stories began at an early age through movies from the village video rental shop (most of which were a little beyond his years!), books came later in life, during his late teenage years. He has adored the road from childhood wonder at magnificent journeys, to taking comfort in characters who seem to drag you into their lives and hold you there, to searching for people within stories who are striving to orient themselves towards the light that exists within them, and to helping those who are lost within their own fears.
